For the July meeting, we decided to head out and enjoy a nice summer ride to Green Ridge State Forest. As a mild trail system, easily accessible to any 4wd vehicle, it makes for a great way to get out and have a meeting in some fresh air!

We met at the park headquarters, and took the short walk over to the overlook. There are a few picnic tables there, so that’s where we gathered for the meeting. We had a good gathering, discussed recent trips as well as upcoming ones, various club business, and voted in Jason as our newest member!

After the meeting we headed out into the forest. It was a lovely day and ride, as we toured around the forest. The southeastern section was still closed, so we just explored the center and western part of the park, after a lunch stop at point lookout.

At about the 75% mark on the ride, after crossing over the bridge, Michael noticed that he caught a piece of large gravel into his tire, causing it to leak. We decided to quickly swap on the spare, and were shortly on our way.

After patching up the Bronco, we had an uneventful, pleasant drive to wrap up our ride. Thanks everyone who came out!
